Utah Jazz What To Watch:
After losing 129-103 to the Denver Nuggets on Saturday in the first of a four-game road trip, Utah's season-opening slump to previously unheard-of heights.
The Jazz have lost the last five games by a total of 110 points, setting a franchise record, and have gone winless in their first six games. The previous record was set by the 1979–80 Jazz, who lost five straight games by a total of 107 points.
Walker Kessler (18 points) and Johnny Juzang (17 points) gave Utah a boost, but they stalled for a while, falling behind Denver by just nine points at the break.
However, the Jazz were ultimately defeated by Denver's tumultuous 16-for-32 shooting from outside the arc and 22 Utah turnovers.
Kessler, who secured his third double-double of the season with 14 rebounds, is undoubtedly one of those. In his third season, the 7-footer is averaging career-high 9.7 points and 11.2 rebounds.
With Taylor Hendricks (broken right leg) and Lauri Markkanen (back spasms) still sidelined, Utah is developing younger depth.
Chicago Bulls What To Watch:
The Chicago Bulls lost to Brooklyn on Friday due to late defensive lapses.
When the Bulls host the struggling Utah Jazz on Monday, they'll want to stop that from becoming a pattern.
After a 31–20 run, Chicago overcame a 10-point deficit early in the third quarter to take a slim lead. However, Cam Thomas of the Nets scored eight points in a row over a stretch in the fourth quarter to help the home team pull away, winning 120–112.
With a quick attack and a variety of alternatives behind the arc, Chicago has been competitive.
Nikola Vucevic ended with 28 points and 11 rebounds on Friday, going 10-for-11 from the field. Compared to his career average of 49.5 percent, he is shooting 55.2 percent this season and has five double-doubles in six games.
Vucevic made three of four long-range attempts. In order to get 21 points apiece, Zach LaVine and Coby White each made five treys.
