Pacers @ Mavericks
American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX
Indiana Pacers What To Watch:
The injury-plagued Indiana Pacers could have to make a test run sooner rather than later, even if the NBA trade deadline is still three months away.
Ahead of Monday night's Pacers game against the home Dallas Mavericks, Indiana's injury list keeps getting longer.
In Sunday's 108-85 victory over the visiting Orlando Magic, Dallas was able to rest its starters for a large portion of the fourth quarter. The Mavericks led by as many as 33 points.
Mavericks standout Luka Doncic ended with 32 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in 32 minutes, including 25 points in the first half.
After falling to the New Orleans Pelicans 125-118 on Friday, Indiana will try to get back on track.
Center Isaiah Jackson and Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith both left the game because of injuries. Nesmith had a sprained left ankle.
Jackson will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn right Achilles tendon, while Nesmith will not play in Monday's game.
Due to guard Andrew Nembhard's knee tendinitis, the Pacers may also be without him when they play the Mavericks.
Dallas Mavericks What To Watch:
When the Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat in six games in 2011, Carlisle led Dallas to its lone NBA title.
After playing for the Golden State Warriors for 11 seasons, Dallas guard Klay Thompson is settling in with his new team. Even though Thompson only scored nine points on four out of ten shots in the Mavericks' victory over Orlando on Sunday, coach Jason Kidd was happy with his team's performance.
Daniel Gafford, a forward, had a great game for Dallas as well, scoring a season-high 18 points. Dallas won for the fourth time in its first six games, led by center Dereck Lively II, who finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
