Utah Jazz vs San Antonio Spurs What To Watch:
On Saturday afternoon, the San Antonio Spurs will play the struggling Utah Jazz in an attempt to return to.500.
The Spurs defeated Portland 118-105 on Thursday and will now play the second of a five-game homecoming. San Antonio ended a two-game losing trend and improved to 3-1 on its home court with eight players scoring in double digits.
The Spurs led by one at halftime and increased their lead to 12 points after three quarters, primarily thanks to the contributions of their bench, led by 17 points from Malaki Branham and Keldon Johnson. In the fourth quarter, the Trail Blazers never came within five points.
Victor Wembanyama scored twelve points, Harrison Barnes scored eleven, and Blake Wesley scored ten. Zach Collins, Stephon Castle, and Julian Champagnie each contributed fourteen points. Johnson grabbed 11 rebounds, which was a game-high.
After losing to Milwaukee 123-100 on Thursday, the Jazz will travel to the Alamo City. That loss followed Utah's victory over Chicago on Monday, which ended the team's six-game losing streak to start the season.
Jordan Clarkson led Utah in the defeat Thursday with 18 points after coming off the bench. As the Jazz shot only 42.9 percent from the field and lost 39-7 in fastbreak points, Collin Sexton scored 14 points, Johnny Juzang scored 12, and John Collins scored 11.
The Jazz won't be able to get all of its top players on the court and performing at their best at the same time for some time.
In their first meeting of the season, the Spurs defeated the Jazz 106-88 in Salt Lake City on Halloween night. Wembanyama finished the game with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals, and 5 blocks. Sexton scored 16 points to lead the Jazz.
