San Antonio Spurs What To Watch:
In its lowest-scoring game of the season, San Antonio, on the other hand, struggled in a 105-93 loss to Oklahoma City on Wednesday, shooting just 41.2 percent from the floor. In the first half against the unbeaten Thunder, the Spurs only managed 44 points.
The 2024 Rookie of the Year, Victor Wembanyama of San Antonio, finished with four turnovers and a career-low six points on one of five field goals.
"They are a stronger team than we are, but that isn't important. We're attempting to match them. It's a game of basketball. According to Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, "it's the same things that get everybody to the next level and the next level and the next level."
Utah Jazz What To Watch:
In addition to the Jazz's early-season problems, second-year guard Keyonte George has had a difficult shooting start. In Utah's four losses, he has shot 26.2 percent from the field, including 22.6 percent from beyond the arc.
George is attempting to do other things when his shots aren't falling, as seen by his 11 assists in Utah's 113-96 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. Will Hardy, the coach of the Jazz, told him not to allow his shooting slump get to him. He wants George to take care of himself the way he would a struggling person.
The Jazz have already suffered from injuries this season. Taylor Hendricks, a talented second-year player, suffered a horrific leg injury on Monday that ended his season. Lauri Markkanen, Utah's top player, then departed the game against Sacramento early on Tuesday because of lower back spasms.
Day-to-day is how the 7-foot sharpshooter is described.
Rookies Cody Williams and Kyle Filipowski are getting more playing time early in their careers due to injuries. Against Sacramento on Tuesday, Filipowski contributed 12 points and eight rebounds, and Williams scored nine points from three 3-pointers.
