Sacramento Kings What To Watch:

DeMar DeRozan was acquired by the Kings in part to increase his shooting and attempt rates on free throws.

The Kings finished the game 26-for-30 (86.7 percent) and DeRozan went 8-for-10 at the foul line on Friday. At 74.5 percent, they had the lowest free-throw percentage in the NBA the previous season.

Domantas Sabonis scored 15 points and pulled down 14 boards, while De'Aaron Fox led Sacramento with 31 points on Friday.

With 5:51 remaining, Atlanta came back to level the score at 109-109. DeRozan made four free throws in the last 1:25 to help the Hawks be held off.

"(DeRozan) just makes the game so easy," Fox stated. Because he can get to the free-throw line so successfully, teams obviously don't want to switch smaller guards on him. He is undoubtedly a difficult cover, but he is also such a willing passer that he greatly eases the game for everyone else.

Toronto Raptors What To Watch:

After falling down by as many as 26 points in the first half, the Raptors recovered in the second half, led by 33 points and a career-high 12 assists from RJ Barrett. Jakob Poeltl finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Gradey Dick contributed a career-high 31 points.

After one quarter, the Raptors were behind 43-19, but they came within six points many times in the fourth quarter.

Immanuel Quickley (pelvic contusion), Bruce Brown (knee surgery), Scottie Barnes (right orbital fracture), and Kelly Olynyk (back strain) were all out for Toronto.

After missing time due to a shoulder injury, Ja'Kobe Walter made his NBA debut on Friday, scoring five points and pulling down six rebounds in 22 minutes. This year, he was selected with the 19th overall pick.

"He has a really good nose for the ball," Rajakovic once remarked. He is an excellent on-ball defender. He has lengthy arms and very active hands. In addition to being highly disruptive, he has excellent instincts for grabbing both defensive and offensive rebounds.
