Phoenix Suns What To Watch:

On Sunday, October 13, the Phoenix Suns will travel to the Ball Arena to play the Denver Nuggets in their penultimate preseason game. The Nuggets' record against the Boston Celtics in their Abu Dhabi preseason schedule was 0-2; nevertheless, the results of the tune-up skirmishes are not significant. When they play the 2-1 Suns, they will now aim to get back to winning ways and step up their game.

Although the Suns aren't expected to contend for the championship, their offense is loaded with inventiveness under new coach Mike Budenholzer. However, their weakness remains their defense. They did not add any players to the front line, and Monte Morris and Tyus Jones are not suitable lockdown defenders.

To be fair, the Phoenix Suns can string together at least 50 wins, which is good enough to maybe secure a No. 5 seed, if they can play mediocre defense and compensate for it with a blitzkrieg offense similar to what the Dallas Mavericks did last season. They still pose a hazard, though. It can be a mistake to underestimate any one of their top three players, even if they have limitations. Although the Suns have already had a strong preseason, the bigger picture still has to fix the weak point.

Denver Nuggets What To Watch:

This season, the Nuggets are the favorites to place among the top four teams once more. Because of its star players, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, they are still considered a team that can win a championship even if they have parted ways with their championship-winning core.

To maintain their synergy, they have Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon as two more sharp tools. When you include in dynamic guard and former MVP Russell Westbrook, Denver has a team with a wealth of knowledge and adaptability.

In the second round, Minnesota outplayed Jokic and his club. Their opponents' superior defense and Anthony Edwards' ability to score goals left them completely flat. Now that another year of the Jokic era has begun, the only thing left to hope for is to win a title.
