Wednesday's four NBA preseason games include the Orlando Magic vs. San Antonio Spurs clash. This will be the second preseason match for both teams. San Antonio fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder 112-107 on Monday, while Orlando fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 106-104 on Sunday.

The San Antonio Spurs had a 22-60 record and finished 14th in the West the previous season. Despite having one of the youngest rosters in the league, they weren't held to high standards. But all eyes were on Victor Wembanyama, the top pick in 2023.

The French sensation won Rookie of the Year after exceeding all expectations. Along with being a strong candidate for Defensive Player of the Year, he led the league in blocks (3.6 per game).

Wemby's natural next move is to elevate the Spurs to a postseason contender. Chris Paul, who the management signed during the summer, ought to be Wembanyama's ideal pick-and-roll teammate. On Monday against OKC, neither player made a play.
