Orlando Magic What To Watch:
The Eastern Conference first-round playoff series, which Cleveland won in seven games, will be rematched on Friday.
After scoring 30 points or more in three of his first five games, including 50 points against Indiana on Monday, Orlando forward Paolo Banchero is off to an outstanding start. However, because of a discomfort in his right abdomen, Banchero was labeled as questionable to play against Cleveland.
In Wednesday's defeat to Chicago, Banchero scored 31 points, while Jalen Suggs finished with 17 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Chicago came back in the third quarter to win the game after the Magic had a 20-point lead in the first half.
Against Cleveland, which leads the league in 3-point shooting at 41.1 percent, Orlando will need to raise their 3-point shooting percentage from 34.6 percent.
The Magic have prioritized 3-point shooting this season, according to guard Gary Harris. Harris stated that the objective is to keep up the tempo, as Orlando is among the ten teams that average at least 40 3-point attempts.
Franz Wagner, a forward who has been sidelined for the last two games owing to sickness, is being watched by Orlando. Before leaving early in the fourth quarter, he finished his 23 minutes against Chicago with seven points, three rebounds, and four assists. For Friday, he is officially uncertain.
Cleveland Cavaliers What To Watch:
In his first season with the Cavaliers, who are having their best start since 2016–17, Cleveland coach Kenny Atkinson has had an instant impact.
The Cavaliers are looking to stay undefeated when they play the visiting Orlando Magic on Friday after starting the season with five straight victories.
After being restricted to 12 points in the fourth quarter, Orlando lost 102-99 to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday to start their five-game road trip.
Cleveland has scored at least 110 points in each of the five games, so the Magic will need to put up a more steady showing to stay up with them. Under Atkinson, Evan Mobley, a fourth-year forward, has become the focal point of the Cavaliers' attack, and the club is flourishing.
In Wednesday's 134-110 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, Mobley scored 25 points in 19 minutes. Allen recorded his third double-double of the season with 20 points and 17 rebounds, while Donovan Mitchell contributed 24 points.
Caris LeVert, who scored 16 points in 22 minutes off the bench, was another spark for Cleveland. The guard, 30, is shooting 64.3 percent from 3-point range and 68.8 percent from the field.
With an offensive rating of 123.4 at the start of Thursday, the Cavaliers were barely ahead of the Boston Celtics in the NBA.
