Magic @ Bulls
United Center, Chicago, IL
Orlando Magic What To Watch:
Paolo Banchero, a standout for the Orlando Magic, likened parts of his 50-point performance against the Indiana Pacers like a drill session.
In the first game of a five-game road trip, Orlando will be happy if Banchero gets at least some of that comfort on Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls.
During a 119-115 victory, his career night, in which he tied a club record for points in a half with 37, undoubtedly motivated teammates.
Superlatives were naturally bestowed upon other Magic as Banchero (13 rebounds, 9 assists) came close to recording a triple-double.
Due to an unexplained sickness, forward Franz Wagner was only able to play 11 minutes, thus Suggs provided impact from the backcourt on both sides of the court. Six of his 25 points came from beyond the arc, where Suggs began the game 5-for-5.
Orlando carries a five-game series winning streak against the Bulls and has won seven of the past 10 meetings overall.
Chicago Bulls What To Watch:
Chicago Bulls just defeated the host Memphis Grizzlies 126-123 in a thrilling comeback.
In the fourth quarter, the Bulls overcame a 20-point deficit to defeat the Grizzlies and win on the road for the second time in three tries to start the season.
After Memphis' Desmond Bane missed a long-range shot in the final seconds, Chicago sighed with victory. Bane shot 6-for-10 from beyond the arc, but his teammates shot 8-for-33 as a team.
In contrast, three players made at least four 3-pointers during the Bulls' 25-for-53 3-point shooting performance. Monday's 25 3-pointers tied a team record, and the Bulls have made 20 or more this season twice.
Zach LaVine scored 11 of his team-high 30 points in the fourth quarter, going 5-for-12 from long range. Nikola Vucevic added four three-pointers, and Coby White had five as well.
The Bulls have shown a lot of resiliency in the early going, which Lonzo Ball, who is recovering from a knee injury, will want to maintain on Wednesday.
