Oklahoma City Thunder What To Watch:

On Tuesday, October 15, Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets take on the youthful and vibrant Oklahoma City Thunder at the Ball Arena. Head coach Michael Malone blamed the Nuggets' lack of conditioning for their poor start to the season, as they had lost all three of their games. The Thunder recently defeated the New Zealand Breakers 117-89, and they are now 3-1 in their four practice battles.

This season, the Thunder took certain actions to strengthen their defense. To guarantee the continuity of their core, they re-signed Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe to multi-year contracts, added Isiah Hartenstein, and traded Australian point guard Josh Giddey for Alex Caruso.

Even though the three preseason losses are painful, the Nuggets aren't yet a concerned team. They would be actively trying to improve the team's conditioning and hope Murray's knee injury won't keep him out of action for a significant number of games during the regular season.

Even though Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was their 30-point shooting star the previous season, the Thunder will need their backup guards to step up if there is a form regression in the future. Last season's offensive and shot-creation weaknesses were evident in the non-SGA minutes. Youth and style are promised by this squad; the question is if they can maintain consistency to duplicate the success of the previous edition.

Denver Nuggets What To Watch:

Jokic is still the dominate player for the Nuggets. Despite Denver's 118-114 loss to the Phoenix Suns, the three-time NBA MVP just finished a double-double game. Jamal Murray had an unmemorable scoring night, shooting 0–3 from outside the arc and 1-6 from the field. Julian Strawther and Michael Porter Jr. each scored 21 points. Russell Westbrook also had a quiet offensive day, scoring nine points.

Murray may be rested by the Nuggets on Tuesday in order to prepare him for the demanding regular stretch. This preseason, Porter Jr. has been entertaining to watch. The forward's off-ball movement was impressive.
