New Orleans Pelicans What To Watch:

In the second game of their NBA-style doubleheader against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night in San Francisco, the New Orleans Pelicans hope to have learned from their mistakes.

Moses Moody, Buddy Hield, and Brandin Podziemski scored 64 points between them on Tuesday night, their first starts of the season for Golden State. In the first game of the two-day, two-game series, the three lifted the Warriors from a 20-point hole to win 124-106.

Most NBA teams don't often play the same opponent back-to-back, but the Pelicans did just that last week in Portland.

That time, the Pelicans watched as the Trail Blazers won 125-103 on Sunday to extract revenge for losing 105-103 on Friday.

Zion Williamson looks forward to the fact that New Orleans is now in the role of the revenge seeker.

The Pelicans had 31 points from Williamson and 30 from Brandon Ingram, but they were responsible for 10 of the visitors' 24 turnovers. With seven of the errors, Williamson was only one player short of Golden State's team total.

Golden State Warriors What To Watch:

This allowed the Warriors to get up 23 more shots and overcome a shooting deficit of 54.1 percent to 47.4 percent. Throughout the contest, Golden State outscored New Orleans by six field goals.

The Warriors went 21-for-46 (45.7 percent) from deep range, finishing with 12 more 3-pointers than the Pelicans.

Hield spearheaded the long-range assault with seven 3-pointers while Stephen Curry was sidelined by an ankle injury. Moody scored 15 of his 17 points on 5-for-6 shots from beyond the arc.

The Warriors showed greater depth in the victory despite missing Andrew Wiggins and De'Anthony Melton because of back problems. The Pelicans' seven backups were outscored 54-30 by Golden State's eight reserves.

After playing 31 minutes on Wednesday, Lindy Waters III—who was among the last players off the bench during Golden State's first three games when the club was fully healthy—reacted with 21 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

Following the game, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that the former Oklahoma City Thunder reserve's performance did not surprise him.
