Milwaukee Bucks What To Watch:
The 1-5 Bucks, who are without Khris Middleton because of an ankle injury, suffered their fifth consecutive heartbreaking defeat on Saturday.
With 41 points, including 10 3-pointers, and nine assists, Damian Lillard had an incredible game. Giannis Antetokounmpo, a fellow star, contributed 34 points and 16 rebounds, but Cleveland's bench outscored Milwaukee's 36–13.
Sam Merrill scored 17 points and made 5 of 9 3-point attempts as a substitute, giving the Cavaliers a significant boost.
Lillard is averaging 26.2 points per game, while Antetokounmpo came into Sunday tied for third place in the NBA in terms of rebounds (12.3) and scoring (31.0 points per game). However, Bobby Portis, the team's third-leading scorer, only averages 11 points a game after those two standouts.
Cleveland Cavaliers What To Watch:
In the second game of a home-and-home series against the struggling Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, the Cleveland Cavaliers will look to duplicate their best start in team history.
The Cavaliers, the only undefeated team in the Eastern Conference, defeated the Bucks 114-113 on the road on Saturday when Donovan Mitchell made a game-winning 19-footer with 0.3 seconds remaining. The Cavaliers are now 7-0.
Mitchell fumbled the ball into the sidelines on the final play after almost losing it on the inbounds pass, but he recovered and scored the game-winning basket over Gary Trent Jr.
If the Cavaliers win on Monday, they will have an 8-0 start to the 1976–77 campaign. Before losing in the opening round of the playoffs, the club, which was captained by Austin Carr and coached by Bill Fitch, finished 43-39.
