Miami Heat vs Minnesota Timberwolves What To Watch:

This season, Anthony Edwards is scorching from three-point range.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star intends to continue launching from a distance as long as that is the case.

When the Timberwolves play the Miami Heat in Minneapolis on Sunday, Edwards will try to stay hot. After defeating the Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls, and Charlotte Hornets, the Timberwolves will attempt to extend their winning run to four games.

A significant contributor to Minnesota's recent success has been Edwards. Even though he rested in the fourth quarter with the Wolves leading by a significant margin, he managed to score 37 points and make 9 of 15 3-point attempts against Portland.

Edwards has made 50 3-pointers and shot a career-high 48.1 percent from outside the arc in nine games this season.

According to Timberwolves coach Chris Finch, Edwards' shooting has made the offense run more smoothly.

Miami, meanwhile, is searching for a spark. The Heat have dropped their last three games against the Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, and Sacramento Kings.

Miami just suffered a 135-122 loss in Denver on Friday. Jimmy Butler just played seven minutes and scored two points before spraining his right ankle, while Tyler Herro led the Heat with 24 points. On Sunday, he will not play.

This season, the 35-year-old Butler is averaging 16.1 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.8 rebounds.

The Heat will try to improve their defensive performance without Butler. The Heat have conceded 111, 115, and 135 points during their recent losing run.

Minnesota prioritizes defense as well. Rudy Gobert, who recorded more than 9,000 career rebounds in Friday's victory, is a significant player on that end of the court.

Last season, the Timberwolves defeated the Heat 2-0. Minnesota defeated Miami 112-108 on December 18 and won 106-90 at home on October 28, 2023.
