NBA 2024-25 Regular Season
Miami Heat vs Charlotte Hornets 26 October 2024 Full Game Replay
Game Info
Saturday, October 26th, 2024 7:00 PM ET
Heat @ Hornets
Spectrum Center, Charlotte, NC
Miami Heat What To Watch:
Since Wednesday's home loss to the Magic, Miami has not played. In several games, the Heat's defense lost its equilibrium too frequently.
The Heat were led by former Hornet Terry Rozier, who finished with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. However, Miami lost to the eventual champion Boston Celtics in five games in the first round of the playoffs last spring, falling short of 100 points in each of their four losses.
In the first game, Miami only managed nine offensive rebounds (compared to Orlando's 18) and shot 39 percent from the field. Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler shot 0-for-4 from 3-point range and 2-for-13 from the field together, although Adebayo did reach the free-throw line ten times.
The Miami Heat appeared out of rhythm, especially when contrasted with their successful preseason runs.
Last season, the Heat won all four of their matchups with Charlotte, including two by a margin of six points or less. Adebayo scored a team-high 24 points in the most recent of those games, which ended in a 104-87 victory. Out of the last 13 meetings between the two teams, Miami has won 11 of them.
Brandon Miller, the Hornets' second-year guard, will not be available until at least November 1 due to an injury sustained in the first game.
Center Kel'el Ware (sickness) and Heat forward Kevin Love (personal) will not play on Saturday.
Charlotte Hornets What To Watch:
Between their opening and second games of the season, the Miami Heat had a lot of issues to resolve.
They will play the host Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night to see how the enhancements work out.
Despite LaMelo Ball's 34 points, the Hornets lost 125-120 on Friday night in Atlanta after coming back from an 18-point deficit to win their season opener on Wednesday in Houston.
There are issues to solve because Ball fouled out with more over three minutes remaining in the game and was responsible for 10 of Charlotte's 18 turnovers.
The Hornets will play their first home game of the regular season under Lee on Saturday.
