Lakers @ Suns
Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
Los Angeles Lakers What To Watch:
The current 3-0 record is notable as the Los Angeles Lakers' finest in 14 years because they don't usually start off quickly.
When Los Angeles faces the Phoenix Suns on Monday night, it hopes to maintain its best start since winning eight games in a row to start the 2010–11 season.
The game is the first of a five-game road trip against Phoenix. The Lakers defeated the Suns, Sacramento Kings, and Minnesota Timberwolves by an average of six points in their first three games at home.
In their first three games under new coach JJ Redick, the Lakers averaged 121.3 points.
LeBron James had his 113th career triple-double against Sacramento with 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Anthony Davis has scored more than 30 points in each of the three games he has played. Davis is averaging 34 points and 11 rebounds.
The Lakers defeated the Kings by 44 points in the fourth quarter, led by a perfect shooting performance from LeBron James (6-for-6) and Anthony Davis (5-for-5).
James had 16 points, six assists, and five rebounds at the pivotal time, and he made three 3-pointers.
Phoenix Suns What To Watch:
The Lakers registered a 123-116 win over the Suns on Friday when Davis had 35 points, Austin Reaves scored 26 and James added 21.
Kevin Durant scored 30 on 11-of-17 shooting for the Suns. Devin Booker added 23 points.
Phoenix won for the second time in three games on Saturday when it posted a 114-102 home win over the Dallas Mavericks.
Durant scored 31 points to become the eighth player in NBA history to surpass 29,000 points. He enters Monday's game with 29,010.
The seven players ahead of Durant on the all-time scoring list are an elite list of basketball legends -- scoring leader James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki and Wilt Chamberlain.
Bradley Beal is anticipated to return on Monday after missing Saturday's game due to an elbow injury. He has a dubious rating. Grayson Allen, a fellow guard, will be available on Monday after missing the previous two games due to the birth of his daughter.
Six of the last eight matchups have been won by the Lakers.
