The Indiana Pacers and Charlotte Hornets should benefit if momentum is maintained from one game to the next.

In Wednesday night's 108-107 victory over the visiting Detroit Pistons, Brandon Miller rebounded teammate Grant Williams' missed basket and made the putback right before the buzzer, ending Charlotte's three-game losing streak.

Especially for Charlotte, who won for the third time in eight games, these kinds of moments are rare.

Three of Indiana's last four games have been victories. The Pacers have a winning streak for the first time this season after winning their last two games.

Six Indiana players scored 15 points or more during Wednesday's 118-111 victory against visiting Orlando. Indiana made 24 of 26 free-throw tries and shot 53.9 percent from the field.

After scoring 11 points in the previous five games combined, Walker scored a season-high 17 points.

Bennedict Mathurin, a player for Indiana, pulled down 11 rebounds and went 13-for-14 from the foul line.

Charlotte just finished its most recent game with a 16-for-16 free throw performance.

Miles Bridges, a forward with 27 points against the Pistons, gave the Hornets a breakthrough. Charlotte has focused on getting him started at a higher pace of output. 

After center Nick Richards suffered a fractured rib, the Hornets are attempting to retool their front court. Taj Gibson, 39, started for them on Wednesday night and finished with seven points and four rebounds in 15 minutes.

Cody Martin of Charlotte played 28 minutes off the bench during the Detroit game, while his health was a concern. After being rated as questionable earlier in the day due to ankle pain, star guard LaMelo Ball also played.

Center Myles Turner leads the Pacers in scoring in two of their two road games, and the team is 2-3 away from home.
