Dallas Mavericks vs Phoenix Suns 26 October 2024 Full Game Replay
Game Info
Saturday, October 26th, 2024 10:00 PM ET
Mavericks @ Suns
Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
Dallas Mavericks What To Watch:
The Dallas Mavericks, meanwhile, have had a successful start to the new season after making it to the NBA Finals the previous year, where they lost to the Celtics in five games. They defeated the Spurs in their season opener with relative ease.
Dallas signed Klay Thompson from the Golden State Warriors in the offseason, which was a significant move, but they have mostly kept the nucleus that worked so effectively for them last season.
With 22 points and a six-of-10 shooting percentage from downtown, the four-time champion had a huge impact on his new employers' debut and helped lessen the team's reliance on Luka Doncic.
Despite this, Doncic was still his typical vicious self, leading the squad with 28 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out eight assists in the victory.
There is no doubting Dallas has a talented team and will be in the mix if they can continue to play the kind of game they did in their season opener. However, defending their title as Western Conference champions and making it to the NBA Finals will be extremely difficult.
The Dallas Mavericks, who defeated the Spurs 120-109 at home on Thursday, will be keen to continue improving. Klay Thompson contributed 22 points, Dereck Lively and Kyrie Irving each scored 15 points, and Luka Doncic led the team with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.
Before turning the tide with a crucial 40-point outburst in the third quarter to set up the victory in front of their home crowd, the Mavericks managed to withstand an early assault from the Spurs, shooting just 41 percent from the field and 19 of 44 from the 3-point line.
Phoenix Suns What To Watch:
When the Dallas Mavericks play the Phoenix Suns on Sunday morning at the Footprint Center, they will be looking to keep up their winning streak in the NBA.
Dallas is 1-0 after defeating the Spurs in their season opening on Friday, while Phoenix is 1-1 for the season after defeating the Lakers and defeating the Clippers.
After losing to the Lakers 123-116 yesterday night, the Phoenix Suns, one of the teams many anticipate challenging for the top seeds this season, will be looking to recover in this game.
Phoenix's 'big three' all had strong games. Devin Booker scored 23 points, Bradley Beal added 15 points and nine assists, and Kevin Durant led the team with 30 points on 11 of 17 shooting, six assists, and four rebounds.
The Suns shot 17 of 37 from outside the arc and had a 51% field goal percentage overall. They led by 22 points at the beginning of the game and were caught by the Lakers in the second half.
Anthony Davis, a forward who sank 35 points and was at times nearly unguardable, was largely responsible for the Lakers' happiness in the second half. Mike Budenholzer will need to handle this going forward.
