On Friday, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls will play their final preseason game at United Center. Cleveland is looking for its first win in exhibition action, while Chicago might finish above.500.

The Bulls (2-2) can improve on their victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at home on Wednesday, 125-123. Leading the way in that performance was combo guard Coby White, who scored a game-high 23 points.

Conversely, the Cavaliers (0-3) had just lost to the Detroit Pistons 108-92 on the road on Wednesday. Even though teams usually don't put up their best effort in the preseason, the seasoned group would probably want to start the regular season strong.

 

Chicago Bulls What To Watch:

After star player DeMar DeRozan left the Bulls for the Sacramento Kings in the offseason, it looks like the team is starting a retooling period. The Zach LaVine-led team may regress in the 2024–25 season after finishing tenth in the East the previous season (39–43).

White and LaVine have averaged 40.0 points per game through two and three preseason games, respectively. Josh Giddey, a combo guard, has contributed playmaking, and big men Nikola Vucevic and Jalen Smith are also averaging close to double-doubles.

But according to reports, Cleveland went into Wednesday night intending to use its final two exhibition games as preseason training grounds. Max Strus (hip), a sharpshooting wing, is the sole important player on the team's injured list.
