Chicago Bulls What To Watch:
Following back-to-back three-point victories over the Memphis Grizzlies and Magic, which included comebacks from 20-point deficits, the Chicago Bulls are looking to win three games in a row and their third away victory. After defeating the Magic 126-123 on Monday, the Bulls overcame a 20-point deficit to defeat them 102-99.
Following a 10-point deficit at the half, the Bulls defeated the Magic 50-37. Even though Chicago shot 38.5 percent after the half and 42.9 percent overall, they still managed to win because the Bulls gave up 31 percent in the second half and 40.7 percent for the game.
Zach LaVine's injury was a concern for the Bulls despite their strong defense against the Southeast Division favorites. LaVine played 36 minutes and scored just 11 points, but X-rays revealed a damaged shoulder that might prevent him from playing on Friday. He has a dubious rating.
Due to a sprained wrist he suffered on Monday, Lonzo Ball will miss his second consecutive game. He will be checked again the following week.
The Bulls are hoping that Coby White can continue his strong start now that LaVine may be sidelined. White, who has scored 76 points in the three victories and is currently averaging 19 points, led the Bulls with 21 points against Orlando.
The three-game season series was swept by Brooklyn previous season. The Nets shot 47.9 percent (68-of-142) from three last season against the Bulls, and they made 18 three-pointers in the second half of a 125-108 victory in Brooklyn on March 29.
Brooklyn Nets What To Watch:
The Brooklyn Nets are displaying bravery at the start of Jordi Fernandez's coaching career, even if it doesn't always translate into victories.
Brooklyn's two victories this week featured the attribute, and the Nets will try to win their third game of the season on Friday night when they play the Chicago Bulls, who are coming off two strong comebacks.
The Nets struggled to overcome fouls and turnovers in their road defeats to the Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic last week, losing by a combined score of 19 points, which marked the start of Fernandez's career. The Nets have won 13-point games against the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies since those early defeats. They also lost to the Denver Nuggets by five points in overtime after blowing a 17-point lead.
One of the team's many veterans, Dennis Schroder, has contributed to the team's last two victories. He led the Nets with 33 points in Wednesday's 119-106 victory over Memphis, building on his 28-point performance against Denver. He scored all 29 points after the first quarter to help the Nets defeat Milwaukee on Sunday.
The Nets are off to a strong offensive start, and Schroder is not the only one. Cam Thomas, who has scored at least 24 points in his first four games and is currently averaging 27.4 points, added 19.
