On Thursday, October 10, the Charlotte Hornets and Memphis Grizzlies will play one of five preseason games at FedEx Forum. The Grizzlies won their first preseason game on Monday night, while the Hornets are 0-1 thus far.

At Madison Square Garden, Charlotte lost to the New York Knicks 111-109 to start the preseason. They then defeated the Miami Heat 111-108 on Tuesday at the Spectrum Center. Coach Charles Lee increased the players' playing time from the first game to the second while sticking with the same starting lineups.

This offseason, the Charlotte Hornets participated in a number of deals but did not acquire any well-known players. In addition to re-signing Miles Bridges and Seth Curry, the Hornets were more concerned with acquiring future assets.

 

Memphis Grizzlies What To Watch:

Conversely, the Grizzlies just defeated the Dallas Mavericks 121-116 at the American Airlines Center. Ja Morant is now regarded as day-to-day after suffering a minor ankle injury. The injury bug was one of Memphis' issues from the previous season, and supporters will be hoping for better luck this time around.

The Memphis Grizzlies just traded Ziaire Williams and were largely silent throughout free agency. With Ja Morant back in the fold, the Grizzlies are trying to regain their competitive edge. Their most significant summertime move was the selection of Zach Edey, who after only one preseason game appears to be a terrific match.
