In the first NBA Cup group round matchup for each team, the Boston Celtics take on the visiting Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday in an attempt to extend their winning run to three games.

For the NBA Cup, each of the 30 teams was split into six groups of five within their conference; the Boston Celtics and Hawks were in East Group C, which also included the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Washington Wizards.

The Hawks just lost to the Bulls 125-113 at home on Saturday, one night after Atlanta defeated the Detroit Pistons 122-121 away from home. In the second half and the fourth quarter, the Bulls outscored the Hawks 65-43 and 35-15, respectively.

Jalen Johnson and Clint Capela of Atlanta both finished with 20 points and nine rebounds. After a 2-0 start, the Hawks have dropped seven of their last nine games.

Boston defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 113-107 on the road on Sunday after rallying from a 17-point hole in the first half. With 31 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists, Jayson Tatum led the Celtics to a 12-0 start in the second half and kept the Bucks to 38 points over the next two quarters.

Jaylen Brown, who returned from a four-game absence due to a hip flexor issue, also scored 14 points for Boston. He finished 37 minutes with five rebounds, four assists, and a 4 of 13 shooting percentage.
